As part of the Free Range season, this year's New Blood exhibition is being held between Thursday 24 June and Monday 28 June at the Truman Brewery. We are programming a festival of fringe events around its location in Shoreditch and the theme of these events will centre on networking.

Due to its importance to life, blood is associated with a large number of beliefs. One of the most basic is the use of blood as a symbol for family relationships; to be "related by blood" is to be related by ancestry or descendance, rather than marriage. This bears closely to bloodlines, and sayings such as "blood is thicker than water" and "bad blood", as well as "Blood brother". Blood is given particular emphasis in the Jewish and Christian religions because Leviticus 17:11 says "the life of a creature is in the blood." This phrase is part of the Levitical law forbidding the drinking of blood or eating meat with the blood still intact instead of being poured off.

I just got a latest News About "New Blood Exibution 2010" this news is as follow: I’m busy getting my illustration portfolio together for this year’s New Blood exhibition in London, where I will be representing Sheffield Hallam University along with several other students.
New Blood showcases graduates from graphic design, illustration, digital media, visual communication, advertising, photography and other commercial creative arts – all under one roof. This year, the event will take place in the middle of Shoreditch at the Old Truman Brewery, on Brick Lane, as part of the Free Range season.
New Blood is open to the public from Friday 25 June to Monday 28 June 2010 and it is free. If you’d like to come along, please register on-line for your ticket in advance to avoid queuing on the day.
Thanks very much!
