ihaveanidea will kick off a North American tour of D&AD Awards 2008 Screenings on October 21st in Montreal. They will also host screenings in Chicago, New York, Toronto, San Francisco, Miami and Los Angeles. The screening will feature the best international advertising and design work from the D&AD Awards in integrated, television, radio, print,
interactive, ambient, graphic design, packaging and illustration and
many more.
“This is the first time that work from D&AD has been shown in North America on this scale. We hope that people come along and are inspired by the best advertising and design in the world. Our award, the Yellow Pencil, recognizes advertising and design that sets new creative standards. It’s all been judged by top creatives from across the industry - now it’s the audiences’ turn to decide what they think,” says Holly Hall, D&AD Awards Director.
“Bringing the D&AD Awards 2008 Screening to North America is very important to ihaveanidea because they are the most prestigious awards show on the planet. By screening the D&AD Awards 2008 winners we also hope to squash the perception that winning at D&AD is an unattainable endeavor and instead galvanize North Americans into realizing that we as a Continent are contributing and being recognized by this most illustrious awards show more often than we think. It’s also a big excuse to get together as a community, have a good time and celebrate some of the best ads from around the world,” says Ignacio Oreamuno, President, ihaveanidea.
