That's a wrap.
Judging Week finished off today with beer and biscuits being delivered to a lot of exhausted judges. Today was the last of the four day process of judging the best creative work of the year here at Excel in London. At the end of it now, with the posters coming down and the tables becoming increasingly empty, there is a feeling of satisfaction and finality among the judges. They spent countless hours today in deep discussion over entries, knowing that the work they decided on would be deemed the best of the year.
In closing of this massive event, we would like to send out HUGE thank you to all the judges who took a week out of their lives to pour over the hundreds of entries and help us in redefining the standards of creativity for 2008. This whole thing would not be possible without your participation. Once again, thank you!
Now that the votes are in it's time to wait. As we speak, our results room is finding out the winning work, but for the rest of us, we just have to hold tight!
Until next time, Fany and Elizabeth

Posted by:Peter Snell | 16 April 2008 at 03:57 PM
we are talking about the student awards 2008
Posted by:Alison | 16 April 2008 at 04:05 PM
Hi All,
Judgings for the Students Awards take place the next 2 weeks.
The results will be disclosed at the begining of June.
Hope it helps

Think there was a misunderstanding, in my first comment I was talking about the professional awards. As far as the student awards are concerned, the nominations will be released in June
Posted by:Fany | 16 April 2008 at 04:25 PM
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaRGH lol!! June as in June as in a whole month to go? Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!! right im signing off this page cos its too depressing!!! lol
so what happened to the 14th April deadline?
Posted by:Alison | 16 April 2008 at 04:27 PM
Yeh it was confusing, because the blog started off with the 20th march with the title Student awards deadline, then the next post was all abt judging and the results being out wek starting 14th April so i put 2 and 2 together and got 132!!!:(
Posted by:Alison | 16 April 2008 at 04:34 PM
Allison,
I was talking about the professional awards. But just so you know, the excitement can be the same for us.
Posted by:Joel | 16 April 2008 at 05:14 PM
Sorry for this confusion.
The article posted on the blog the 20th of March was saying that the deadline for the students to send their work was the 20th of March.
I don't remember that something was announced for the 14th of April...
I will blog evry day for the Student Awards as well and give you some feedbacks and pictures as soon as the judgings begins i.e. next week.
Hope it helps ... Good luck guys!

Come on team. Get us the inside scoop. When is this shortlist surfacing!?!
Posted by:Mike Pearson | 17 April 2008 at 08:35 AM
the shortlist will be disclosed at the very beginning of June...
I know it's a long wait but keep an eye on the blog next week so that you can have an insight on what's going on at least.
I'll try to put as much pictures and judges' comments as I can... If you wish so!
And I'll also let you know if the nominations are published before the scheduled date.

Is the professional shorlist being published today? Where can I find it on the site?
Thanks
