Student Awards: Day 1, 2 & 3
The student Awards began 2 days ago (sorry for the delay by the way, but everybody was involved in setting up your work!!) and will last 2 weeks. They take place at the Rochelle School near Old Street during the 1st week and then at the D&AD 'school' during the 2nd . It is less spectacular than the Professional Awards (less pieces of work exhibited per day) as you can see from the pictures, but still, the quality of some pieces of work is impressive!
Let's give you a short description of the Student Awards schedule
Monday: (Category/Sponsor/Brief)
- Animation/HSI London/The creation of a character
- Advertising/Tequila/The Army
- Graphic Design/Ted Baker/Ted Baker
- Advertising/Breakthrough Brest Cancer/Brest Cancer Awareness Month

- Advertising/This is Real Art/The Royal Opera House (I saw beautiful things in this category!)

In 2007, I was invited to participate in educational sessions that were being presented just for students and their college/university faculty and advisors. As I recall it was at Old Billingsgate (spelling?) and sponsored by Channel 4, Adobe, The Guardian, and Yahoo. Will these sessions be a part of the D&AD schedule again this year? If so, I will be in London.

Hi Edward,
There is no event about the nominated pieces of work of the student Awards this year. However, we are holding a New Blood Exhibition for Colleges/Universities and you are welcome to come along.

hi i just wondered what you meant by there is no event this year for nominated pieces? Does this mean there is no ceremony of award presentations like the D&AD awards? If there is going to be one where will it be held?
