Posted by:george mitchell | 29 April 2008 at 02:51 PM
lol, no worries! What do you mean by 'HOW you have been judged'?? I just know when and where your work has been judged, and in a few days you'll know who judged your work, which creatives... Do I answer your question...?
Posted by:Fany | 29 April 2008 at 03:18 PM
i meant how i have done, if i got through, what the judges thought about my book and all that malarky! thanks for answering my question gamesmaster hahaha

ok I get what you mean!
So, basically, you cannot have any feedback on your work before the publication of the shortlist (i.e. nominated pieces of work) at the beginning of June. And there will be a Ceremony held at Shoreditch Town Hall on the 26th of June to award the winners.
Hope it helps! let me know if you need more info!

Posted by:dholuck | 10 May 2008 at 08:35 PM
hi! now judging is finished, you will receive a feedback in the next couple of weeks i think
Posted by:Fany | 12 May 2008 at 09:54 AM
Hi Fany, you say here that now judging is finished we will receive feedback in the next couple of weeks. But in your other blog post you said that you would be sending out emails towards the end of last week to notify people of their success.
Does this mean that if we haven't heard anything by now, we should take it that we haven't been nominated?
Sorry to be a pain, but I would really like to know either way, as I am sure A LOT of my fellow students do as well.
Thank you in advance.

I've just had an email about being In Book! but also mention of details for nominations... Does this mean we still could be in the running for a pencil or commendation? Anyone know?
Posted by:Rob Butcher | 12 May 2008 at 06:51 PM
rob, well done for the old in book, i think it means you are just in the book i think, i got the same as you but my mate off the course got an email saying he was shortlisted for the award.
i think, dont take this as gospel but i am pretty sure it is right.

Dear Fany,
if I haven't got the mail by now does that mean I'm out of game? We entered in music video category.

Hi,
I received an email yesterday saying that my work would appear in-book. What I wasnt sure of was whether this also meant that it was now nominated to win one of the top prizes? (i.e. - all work at the moment is purely listed as in-book, and winners are announced later?)
Or is that already decided, and then announced at the ceremony?
thanks,
daz

Have all the emails been sent out?
thanks, d.

Hi guys,
Every student will receive a feedback by the end of the week.
The ranking is as follows (ascending order):
- In-book (work published in the Student Annual)
- Commendation (work published in the Student Annual + exhibited at New Blood & at the Student Awards Ceremony + money)
- 2nd (all of the above)
- 1st (all of the above)
- Student of the Year (only one student awarded: all of the above + extra money)
Hope it's clear.. Let me know if not

Thank you so much Fany, that does clarify some of my queries, then again it arises new doubts is that a week schedule? is every bullet point on a different day? And more importantly ARE WE GOING TO FIND OUT WHO GOT 1ST OR 2ND B4 THE CEREMONY????? Sorry to be a pain...
MRM
Posted by:Mauro Rodriguez | 13 May 2008 at 12:55 PM
no worries!I'm here to help!
the bullet points are random, just a list of the potential prizes you can get.
You can receive 3 kinds of emails basically:
- you are not successful
- you are in book
- you are commendation or above
Therefore, the people who receive the email 'commendation or above' will know if they are actually commended, 2nd or 1st during the Ceremony.
Is it clear enough??

Should we assume we haven't won anything if we haven't recieved an email yet? Thanks!
Posted by:p | 13 May 2008 at 02:17 PM
I have no idea, sorry!
Posted by:Fany | 13 May 2008 at 02:35 PM
hey fany!
thanks for all the replies. but do you know anything about the music videos? i guess they can't be in book.
so theoretically there would still be time until the end of the week?
Posted by:bop | 13 May 2008 at 03:13 PM
Hey Fany, i didnt know that you can get an email saying you have not been successful, so basically no news can be good new right??
Posted by:Alison | 13 May 2008 at 03:18 PM
thanks Fany,
that makes it clear now - thanks for your help
